Annual Poker Party

It's getting to be that time again. Time to have a drink, bite to eat, few hands of poker and talk about how good/bad we did this year.  Party begins at 2pm on Sat the 26th of Jan. As last year we will have hot sandwiches (ham, roast beef), chips and other snacks, deserts and soda/water. We also will have a couple bottles of booze (whiskey and rum), it's $15 a person.

Also we will be having that raffle and tickets are $1.50 each.

We will have our awards and payouts given out, should be fun as normal.

I'd like to know who is coming ahead of time, if you don't tell me then I won't be having food for you. also I will be collecting the money ahead of time to pick up what we need. Everyone is free to bring their own food/drink if wanted.

Also to let everyone know, we have had a lot of great group parties this year and had lots of people join in from outside the league which was awesome but this is the only party where we are keeping it to league members only. thanks everyone hope to see you

Halloween Football Party

What looks to be our last football party of the year. It's Oct 28th starts at noon!

Food will be pizza, chips, cookies/cake, soda and water

Everyone is able to bring someone, it's $15 per person.

We also have a raffle that will take place in Jan.at our poker game you can start buying ticket entries on the 28th, everyone that shows up with a legit halloween costume gets a free ticket. Otherwise they are 2 for $3

The tiki bar will be going mostly for shots which is included. If we want to get another keg of beer for this let me know so I know who is in on that. If not everyone is free to bring whatever beer they would like to drink.

I will also have the firepit going all day to fight the cold for people not playing football and for smores.

Update For Saturday Party

Kinda lots to update here

1. Party starts anytime from noon on, it will be done around 7ish so anybody who wants to just come for a couple hours feel free.
2. The weather likes to play its game this week. It looked like it would be over 90 degrees but that now dropped slightly to 87, we are going to try and play football regardless, nobody has to play if it's too hot but we will have water and such to relax. It also might rain on and off Saturday, once again we will still plan on playing football. If we get stormed out or the heat goes to high to be outside then we will come inside and continue to do stuff, I have poker, games, tv etc. a party is a party and it will go on with anyone who wants to keep it going.
3. For food, I'm going to light that grill up regardless of the weather so that's going to happen. It was bring your own meat to grill but since it's kinda hard to buy single meats for yourself I've decided we should have everyone bring something, I'm going to provide soda, juice, water, plates, napkins, silverware. I need 3 people to bring some kind of meat, 3 people to bring chips and the rest can bring some kind of other side or desert. Please let me know what you are bringing, thanks
4. Booze is simple, either bring something to share with everyone or just bring your own stuff. I'm going to have a beer tub for sharing so if you bring a 12 pack of beer for the tub you can drink from whatever kinds are in it. Tiki bar will be serving too.
5. Everyone person please bring a bag of ice, we will need it for the tub, drinks are cold water.
6. Lots of people couldn't attend this time so if you have someone that wants to come they're more the welcome to, they must bring stuff too though.
7. It's a nice party and I hope we all come to have a good time and let loose.

Party On Demand

Since our fantasy games everyone seems interested in more football and fun. I have heard you and lets do it. July 14th is the day, rain or shine. Its a very casual event geared toward just hanging out, eating, drinking and playing football. Starts at noon Sat

FOOD RULES

Details, you're allowed to bring someone. Everyone brings your own food to grill up. I will provide soda, plates, cups, etc. Everyone has to bring a small bag of ice. If anyone wants to bring anything  else for the party go right ahead

BOOZE RULES

The bar will be running of course but will run as follows. You either bring a case of beer (At least a 12 pack) or a bottle of liquor and it's open bar for you. Otherwise you can just bring your own.

FOOTBALL RULES

Its 3 vs 3 flag football and it's random drawn names for each game.

FFC GAMES FINISH

I'm glad for the turn out and everyone I got to talk to had a good time. We for sure got some good ideas to improve it next year so I was also happy for those thoughts, some were:

• Grilling the food in the morning and just warming it up on the grill when we eat, saves us time and trouble at the party.
• Having a better set schedule for the games so people didn't have to wait to play so long, I did a random draw schedule which didn't work so I will make it myself next year so we all are playing something
• Having 5 games instead of 6 so we can wrap them up and award the winner right there.
• Dividing up items for people to bring

I love all those ideas and they will be part of next years party. Also I will be the only person keeping score of the winners/losers so there won't be any false marks on the sheets. We will as have assigned refs for each game.

Since the games were random some teams played more then others so I went with a win percentage to declare the victor.

DISCLAIMER: I would like everyone to know before I post the winner, I have no idea what games were scored correctly or what games were actually played and I only know for sure my own teams games. All I have to go on is what is on the sheets at the end of the day.

Here is was you need to know for Saturday the 2nd.  FFC GAMES!!

THE DRAFT WILL BE STOPPED FOR SAT AND SUN AND WILL RESUME MON.

Party starts anytime after noon so come any time after that. We will drink and mingle around.
1pm our first couple games begin.
2pm I fire up the grill
2:30ish we stop the games to eat
After we eat the games will start up again until they're completed.
We then present the winners with their award.

Anybody is free to leave anytime after that but anybody is also free to stay. We will be having a fire, smores and perhaps a card game.

If you have lawn chairs bring them, I have a limited supply so it would be a great help.

  I don't want anyone driving when they're not able so either each person has to have a DD or you have to give up your keys before we start the party.

We will have water on hand for everyone.

Everyone who ordered booze. We will have our quarter barrel of Miller Lite. so drink up!!  Also we are now able to have complete open bar for all package B people. Everyone else can buy drink tickets, these are good for either a shot or a mix drink.

UPDATE!!!
 All extra food items on the grill are fair game for seconds. I was going to just put money into the league fund but have decided to just just have us use everything up without another charge. I don't know how many extras we will have but I know there will be.

Also anybody can buy drink tickets for 1.50 each.

David is out bartender for the evening and has asked not to be tipped so don't do it.  There will be a container behind him that says tips but this is for the tickets to be put in when ordering. David will not sell you tickets or do any cash handling. If you want tickets see me.This solves Davids concern over him actually selling alcohol. Tickets are the only way to order drinks at the tiki bar.

Our money was still tight for the party but I made it work with what we had. The little things added up quick, (plates, napkins, coal, cups, ice, etc. ) I filled the bar with everything I have so the party should be good to go.

As this is our first FFC Games I of course want each one of you to have a great time and let loose. Our poker game was awesome in Jan and this looks to trump that will everyone who is showing up. Heath was the only one who couldn't make it so he will be there in spirit.

FFC GRILL OUT INFO!! WOOT

I'm excited to be able to have our first ever FFC Grill out June 2nd!!. Our poker game in January was a blast and this is going to be just as fun.

You're allowed to bring 1 person with you. I'm putting the guest list on here so if you 100% know you're coming and are 100% know your partner is coming, let me know so you can be on the list. I would like to know our list by May 13th. If you are coming and have paid for your food package it will say paid by your name and the package you've paid for. Get your money in as soon as you can to make is easier for me to pick up everything. The packages are as follows.

Package B $20: Choice of 2 meats, chips, soda, booze.

It's Dues Time

As the NFL draft is about to kick off we start to prepare ourselves for our own draft. Our starting draft date has changed from May 5th to the next Saturday May 12th.

Reminder that contract releases and signings need to be done by April 30th!! that doesn't leave you much time yet, if it's not on the contract tracker post then your transaction isn't recorded so again, either post it or text it to me.

Final reminder, there has not been any rules changes other then our drafting time windows so our pay in price is still $10 each for the league, with the same payouts (1st-$50, 2nd-$30, 3rd-$20) so get that in asap since we are drafting in a couple weeks.

Fantasy Timline for 2012

Here is our timeline for our first have of the year.

By April 30--- we have all contracts choices in, members in and all rules voted on and combed over.

May 5th--- Our draft begins, rounds 1-3 will have a 12hr window to make each pick, rounds 4-6 will have a 24hr window to make each pick, and the rest of the rounds will have the normal 48hr each pick round.

June 2nd--- Our fantasy Grill out, everyone can bring someone, there will be lawn games and football, a winner will be crowned with the most wins. It will be $10 a person for food and soda, $20 a person for food, soda, and booze!! Nobody has to bring anything. Party starts at noon and goes until whenever!!!

August 8th--- Our draft needs to be complete.

October 27th-- Fantasy Football Halloween Party

January 19th-- Fantasy Football Poker game and award ceremony

Jan 21st Is Our Party And We Will Cry If We Want To

So just a reminder, Jan 21st at 4pm is our fantasy close party, $5 each. Poker, drinks, food, bullshit will all be there.
