Qurterbacks

I know its a little early but I would like to have a vote on playing one qurterback instead of 2. My idea would be you play one each week instead of two, and there touchdowns would be worth 6 points instead of 4. That way the qb pool is not so thin if you have a injury or somthing happen to one of your qbs. With only one not evryone would need to have 3 qbs on their team they only need two. Also with 6 pts per touchdown you still get a decent point total. Just a idea to vote on.

The fun is about to start

It's time for another fun year of fantasy football. Welcome to the two new members and good luck to everyone.

Its About To Begin

Ok so our league is going to be entering April which is our month to change any rules or go over anything before our draft May 1st. Now is the time to get in the habit of checking the blog every couple days or so until the season starts. Like last year there will be a post put up every 2-3 days, feel free to post anything you like, its your blog afterall. Also don't forget that if you're signing a player it has to be done before May 1st. The way our rule changing works is if you would like something changed you can email me and I'll post in on the blog or you can post it on the blog yourself(not like any of you do that but......). Once a topic is posted everyone gets to vote for or against it, you vote in the comments at the bottom of the post. Here are current rules, look over them and bring up any changes you want voted on.

A Reminder Of How Your Contracts Work

Everyone gets a 2 and 3 year contract to place on drafted players. A contract isn't really measured in years but in seasons, a 3 year contract is good for 3 seasons, not 3 real years, so the minute the last contract season is over that player is a free agent.

A contract can be placed on any player you drafted from the from the last draft.

When a player is under contract, the owner will lose the round he was drafted in for the set number of contract years. (EXP=player x was drafted in the 3rd round last year and signed to a 2 year contract, the owner will then lose his 3rd round pick for the next 2 years because players x will be his pick for that round.)

Can I release a player from a contract? Yes, once the player is released you will get that draft round back the at the next draft but your contract will be gone until it expires on its own. (EXP= After 1 year player x was released from his contract, the owner gets his 3rd round pick back for the next draft but doesn't get another 2 year contract until the first one expires the next year.

When a contract expires can I resign my player? No you can only sign players you drafted from the last completed draft.

Can I use both my 2 & 3 year contracts on the same player at once? No these are different contracts and cant be combined.

Can contracted players still be traded or released? Yes normal trades and releases that happen during the season don't do anything to your contracted player. (EXP= player x is traded in week 5 of his first contracted year, after the season ends player x returns to his contracted owner to fulfill his last contract year of his 2 year contract). Same goes for released players

How do I sign a player? Email me your player and contract you wish to use, if it all checks out (meaning you have a open contract left to use and did in fact draft that player) it will be posted on the blog on the right sidebar under Contracts, the sidebar shows the owner, player signed, and contract years remaining.

How do I release a player from a contract? Email me your player to release from contract, it will show up on the right sidebar of this blog along with contract years left to expire.

Can I release a player anytime? No you can not release a player during our draft but any other time is fine.

I think that covers it, if you have questions or if I forgot something please comment it so I can change this. thanks
